SUMMARY

Qcells is seeking a Product Manager to drive the strategy, development, and lifecycle of utility-scale solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) products and solutions. This individual will play a critical role in shaping offerings that meet the evolving technical, regulatory, and commercial demands of large-scale renewable energy projects. The ideal candidate is technically savvy, market-aware, and highly collaborative, capable of bridging cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, supply chain, EPC, and finance to deliver compelling product offerings tailored to our utility and IPP customers. This position reports to the VP of Commercial Strategy, or another management personnel that the CEO of the Company may designate. This position is In-Office 5 days per week located out of Houston, TX office and working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm local time. This position is expected to travel up to 30%.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  • Define and execute product roadmaps for utility-scale solar solutions, aligning with market trends, customer feedback, and business strategy.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on system architecture, performance, and integration of solar products.
  • Evaluate new technologies and suppliers and support strategic partnerships.
  • Support commercial teams with technical product positioning, RFP responses, and customer presentations, and module warranty claim responses.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams to ensure product readiness and scalability.
  • Monitor regulatory, policy, and interconnection developments impacting project design and product requirements.
  • Lead competitive benchmarking and market analysis to inform differentiation and pricing strategies.
  • Manage product lifecycle from concept through retirement, ensuring documentation, training, and support materials are up-to-date.
  • Regular attendance, in accordance with company's attendance policy and supervisory assignment, is an essential job duty requirement for this position.
  • Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by Management

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, project development, or engineering within the renewable energy sector
  • Deep understanding of utility-scale solar project components, configurations, and economics
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
 

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field
  • Bilingual in Korean, preferred not required

  • Travel: up to 30% as needed
