DIRECTOR OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT 

QCELLS Enable is the EPC branch of Qcells for the Commercial, Industrial, Distributed Generation, and Small Utility Scale solar markets. Our mission is to provide world class design and installation of large-scale PV and ESS systems throughout the US.  Our position as a leading module manufacturer means we can offer end-to-end solutions for project developers and asset managers.  We are expanding our offerings and have several open positions currently in our Teaneck, New Jersey headquarters. 

SUMMARY

The Director of Project Management will lead the Project Management department and will play a vital role within the Qcells Enable organization to enable our vision of becoming the Ieading C&I PV and ESS EPC solution provider in US. The Director of Project Management is expected to draw upon a fundamental project management and construction background and direct experience to lead the successful build out of MW scale ground mount solar power systems.

The Director will also build and mentor a large diverse cross functional team located throughout the Americas, as well as oversees a broad network of suppliers and partners.

This position reports to the VP of Operations or another management personnel that CEO of the Company may designate. This position requires up to 25% travel to our offices or Jobsites. This position is located in Teaneck, NJ 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Manage Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, Associate Project Managers and providing proper resourcing for on-time and on-budget completion of all C&I PV and ESS EPC projects
  • Responsible for management of all C&I PV and projects from contract execution until post PTO
  • Manage all aspects of project management for ongoing C&I PV  projects including but not limited to: Licensing, permitting, zoning, interconnection, sub contracting, engineering, contract management, scheduling, procurement, incentives, internal installation efforts, inspections, testing, Quality Assurance, Commissioning, budgeting, costs
  • Provide point of escalation for customer and subcontractor issues
  • Review activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement;
  • Some travel to work sites is required;
  • Support and cooperate with sales and proposal to win new EPC bids ;
  • Support internal planning group with periodic and ad-hoc reporting.

  • All other assignments and special projects, as requested by Management.
  • Mentor Project Management team.
  • Provide training on project management fundamentals including scheduling, budgeting and scope review and execution.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Minimum of 7 years of Project Management experience, required;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in solar or renewable energy industry, preferred;
  • Experience working with Electric Utilities preferred;
  • NABCEP Certification, preferred;
  • PMP Certification, preferred;
  • Fluency in MS Project, or equivalent project management software;
  • Ability to read plan sets, do take offs, create Bill of Materials and procurement bids;
  • Strong Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook);
  • Must enjoy working within a team and working independently;
  • Professional appearance and effective interpersonal skills, comfortable in an office setting as well as on a commercial construction job site;
  • Excellent time management and financial management skills; and
  • Excellent ability to communicate among construction, technical and non-technical personnel, both internally and outside the company; and
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving dynamic, environment.
