POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Sr. Director of Energy Storage Solutions Sales will be responsible for driving the sales strategy, market growth, and customer relationships within the energy storage sector. The ideal candidate has more than fifteen years of Sales experience, five of which are in a leadership role. Direct industry experience in the renewable and/or energy storage industries is desired. The candidate should have a strong Sales Experience along with excellent communication skills.

This position will report to the Head of Energy Storage business or anyone that the Senior Vice President/President of the Company may designate. This position will be based in Teaneck, New Jersey office or San Francisco, California Office. Travel up to 50% may be required. Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or 9:00 am to 6:00 pm

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the Sales of Qcells Energy Storage hardware and Software in the Utility and Community Scale, Commercial and Industrial segment – Focused on both Behind the Meter and Front of Meter Market
  • Assess the BESS market by identifying and analyzing key players, market size, growth potentials, market dynamics & trends.
  • Define and implement a sales growth strategy specific to achieve Sales Targets
  • Lead and manage a team of sales professionals providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high performance and productivity
  • Identify and establish business relationships with new BESS customers, including utility companies, renewable energy developers, EPCs, channel partners, and distributors
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers' leadership teams (C-suite, SVP, EVP levels)
  • Lead the selling and negotiation activities for all major opportunities
  • Define and continuously maintain critical market intelligence from a market, customer, and competitor view

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • A Master ‘s in the above disciplines is preferred
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of Sales experience with at least five (5) years in the Energy storage industry
  • Substantial network among new developers and EPC contractors.
  • Demonstrated understanding of business development.
  • Creative drive for entrepreneurial opportunities and the flexibility to work with many different types of customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A passion for the energy industry and willingness to learn and adapt in this rapidly growing industry.

The salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job’s minimum qualifications.
