POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Qcells Service Solutions(‘QSS’) is a residential solar asset operation and maintenance service company powered by Qcells. QSS sets up a design standard and installation guide for EnFin TPO and provides a specialized quality assurance review service. QSS monitors all assets proactively to resolve any issue in order to maximize homeowner experience and capital investor’s value.

The QSS Tech Operations Manager is responsible for managing technical requirements and the platform roadmap for Asset O&M. This role will translate business needs into technical specifications and collaborate with the R&D team. The QSS Tech Operations Manager will also support reporting and analytics of telemetry and milestone data through the Salesforce platform and the in-house monitoring portal.

This position requires preparing and automating monthly reports for investors and customers and conducting asset performance reviews. The QSS Tech Operations Manager will actively collaborate with subject matter experts to identify opportunities for enhancing operational efficiency from time of install, throughout the lifetime of the asset (post-PTO). In addition, the QSS team and this position helps maintain asset quality and oversee O&M (Operation and Maintenance) throughout the contract period.

Third-Party Ownership (TPO) is poised to be the fastest-growing segment of the solar market due to rising interest rates and the Inflation Reduction Act. Qcells is well-positioned to capitalize on this trend thanks to the domestic content tax credit adder, established dealer relationships, and a strong point-of-sale financing platform.

This position reports to the Head of QSS, or any senior management personnel that the President of the Company may designate. This position is based out of our San Francisco office, with an in-office schedule set at the direct manager’s discretion in accordance with the Company policies and procedures. Remote options could be considered for exceptional cases.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage new requirements for QSS business and QSS platform roadmap.
  • Deliver BRDs (Business Requirements Documents) based on QSS business insights and needs.
  • Perform data analysis of asset performance and business performance.
  • Support official reports for investors and customers.
  • Define asset data and establish data consistency for the business.
  • Drive alignment with various stakeholders, including executives, business operations, design, and engineering teams.
  • Create regular reports for internal management and external investors.
  • Act as a liaison between the company and external parties to meet information needs and ensure proper information is maintained for historical purposes.
  • Support internal and external payment audit processes.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and reports as needed.
  • Maintain regular communication with other company groups and departments locally and globally.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Head of the QSS team or upper management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience working in the solar industry
  • 5+ years’ experience working in asset management, including developing, delivering, and executing a strong product vision
  • Minimum 1-year experience with Salesforce
  • Advanced level of computer skills: MS Office (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook)
  • Data analysis and reporting skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of Data analysis through Salesforce
  • Ability to identify and develop key strategic partnerships
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • High degree of professionalism and conduct
  • Must be comfortable interfacing outside the company, including executive presentations, negotiations, and contractual review
  • Must be self-motivated, creative, and possess strategic planning skills
  • Ability to travel at least 20% of the time

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in the TPO Asset O&M industry
  • Korean Bilingual speaking and writing capability

The salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job’s minimum qualifications.
