POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Energy Service Sales Manager will focus on expanding our Energy Service portfolio within the Texas market, capitalizing on the unique aspects of the Texas energy sector, including Virtual Power Plant (VPP) and Residential Retail Energy markets. This position demands in-depth knowledge of Texas’s deregulated power market, strong skills in sales and B2B partner management, and familiarity with REP switching dynamics. The manager will play a key role in overseeing and advancing our energy services, working closely with the Residential Sales Team (PV, System), solar finance, and Retail Energy Providers—primarily within Texas but also supporting broader market collaboration. In this role, you will:.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sales Management:
    • Drive Energy Service Sales in Texas, focusing on PV and BESS for both new and existing residential customers.
    • Develop and implement strategies to increase VPP enrollments and assist Partner Installers for homeowners in REP switching to maximize VPP participation.
  • B2B Partner Development:
    • Manage and support B2B channel partners, including installers, brokers, and sales organizations, to increase market share and enhance sales operations.
    • Work closely with channel partners to ensure alignment with the Texas market's unique VPP and energy service needs.
  • Training and Onboarding:
    • Lead training and onboarding for partners, ensuring they are well-equipped with knowledge of Texas-specific energy programs, VPP participation, and REP switching processes, aligned with Qcells' vision as a Complete Energy Solutions Provider.
    • Conduct regular training and provide ongoing support to equip partners with the knowledge and tools to succeed.
  • Marketing and Customer Engagement:
    • Work closely with the Marketing team to develop and execute B2B campaigns that engage Texas Partner Installers and integrate VPP adoption into their sales process.
    • Contribute to the development of marketing initiatives to promote energy services across channels.
    • Providing sales insights for the creation of various Sales Decks and homeowner-targeted flyers to support Partner Installer sales activities.
  • Market Intelligence and Strategy:
    • Conduct thorough market analysis specific to Texas's residential PV/BESS and energy retail markets, identifying opportunities and competitive advantages.
    • Gather and analyze data to support strategic sales decisions and ensure alignment with HQCA’s broader business goals.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the energy industry, with specific expertise in Energy Services(SREC, VPP), BESS, and Texas’s deregulated power market.
  • Proven track record in sales management and achieving revenue targets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in market intelligence and sales strategy.
  • Deep understanding of Texas's Energy Retail mechanisms, Net Metering, and REP regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including finance teams, contractors, and third-party sales partners.

The salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide.
