SUMMARY
The Purchasing Specialist (Cost & Planning) will be responsible for cost and supply management within the Purchasing Team. They will analyze the manufacturing cost of billing operations and cost reduction to successfully execute and control the assigned business plan.
This individual will organize, control, and monitor the purchasing activities of solar panel raw materials such as Glass, Frame (Aluminum, Steel), Junction Box, Wire/Busbar, Silicone (Sealant, Potting), EVA/EPE/POE Sheet, Back sheet, Flux and Cell, Ingot, Wafer Raw Materials, etc. They will work in a cross-functional team environment within Hanwha Qcells Georgia, Hanwha Qcells USA, and other subsidiaries of the Hanwha Group.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Purchasing, planning, and support activities
- Survey and put together market research
- Compile and organize reports for each function of the purchasing team
- Process invoices for payment
- Establish, manage and dedicate team budgets
- Register and manage suppliers
- Establish manuals and processes
- Train new employees
- Put together KPIs and manage performance
- Track PO Status, Transportation Plan and Performance, and Monthly Inventory Checks cross functionally with the Logistics Team
- Request monthly PR
- Analyze the purchasing cost and proper inventory days
- Validate and approve supplier`s invoices for payment
- Ensure payment documentation is complete and accurate
- Review all invoices for appropriate documentation
- Maintain purchasing team master data
- Support and actively engage with teammates’ related work
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in SCM, Business Management, or related fields
- 1-3 years of related Purchase, Planning, and/or Support experience
- Over 1 year of related experience (such as validating and approving supplierss invoices for payment)
- Computer literacy with an advanced knowledge in SAP and Microsoft office including, but not limited to, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
- Excellent report writing skills
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast pace, professional, team environment with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize tasks appropriately for project schedules and other deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency in Korean and English, both spoken and written
- Strong purchasing knowledge
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Office business setting or construction worksite depending on need
