HR Admin Hourly

Date: September 2024

Reports to: Human Resources Manager

Location: Dalton, GA

Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt

 

SUMMARY: The Human Resources Admin works closely with the HR Manager, shift supervisors and manufacturing floor personnel and will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resource department. Accountable for all components of HR including workforce planning, staffing, learning and development, compensation and reward/retention strategies, benefits, performance assessment processes, employee relations, and all other HR functional disciplines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Answer and direct departmental phone calls promptly.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
  • Assist with associate inquiries such as but not limited to: HRIS related questions and tasks, uniform order and distribution, time clock registration, company badge issues and distribution.
  • Assist with the temp-to-hire conversion process and maintain accurate tracking of conversion status, progress, and successful or unsuccessful completion, schedule for orientation accordingly.
  • Maintains accurate records of active job openings and received applications; manages internal and external job postings.
  • Reviews applications for entry-level and non-exempt positions and promptly dispositions candidates in the ATS; conducts and/or schedules preliminary interviews.
  • Performs administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes, which may include layoffs, resignations, terminations, and extended leaves of absence.
  • Conducts or assists with record audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, payroll audits, and other compliance reviews.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Provides clerical support to the HR department.
  • May assist with payroll like functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
  • Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

 

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective listening skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment.
  • Advanced proficiency using and reporting software including MS Office Suites, specifically Excel and Power Point.
  • Assertive, able to cope with pressure, a team player.
  • Fluent in both verbal and written in English and Spanish preferred.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant human resources experience.
  • Knowledge of HR operations, administration, and recruiting strategies
  • Advanced proficiency using and reporting using software including MS Office Suites, specifically
  • Excel and Power Point.
  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, or related field in business administration preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to stand and walk the production area throughout the workday
  • Reaching, pushing, pulling, or lifting as required within limits set by Hanwha Q CELLS USA, Inc.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Familiar with employment laws and past
