POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Specialist to join our team, who will be responsible for managing logistics expenses and inventory. The Logistics Specialist manages all administration related to monitoring and reporting on logistics costs and inventory. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Logistics and will require travel of up to 20%.  The candidate will be based out of our Irvine, California office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

[Logistics Expense Management]

  • Create monthly logistics expense reports within tight deadlines
  • Verify charged costs for accuracy and compliance
  • Conduct monthly logistics cost analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Plan and manage monthly and annual logistics cost budgets
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks as required
  • Collaborate with 3PL vendors and other cross functional teams to ensure business goals are met.
  • Manage chargebacks and irregular costs to report.
  • Communication with Korea entity to report logistics expense.
  • Develop and implement logistic expense policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

[Inventory Management]

  • Create Inventory Management Procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels for the business.
  • Perform daily inventory management procedures and duties.
  • Monitor inventory level of goods with each vendor.
  • Run daily/weekly/monthly inventory reports.
  • Manage weekly/monthly inventory reconciliation.
  • Planning and implementation of Companywide physical inventory counts, including full physical counts and cycle counts.
  • Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels.
  • Monthly reporting of inventory including monthly variance analysis.
  • Monitors inventory and analyzes data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs.
  • Record weekly inbound and outbound to reconcile inventory.
  • Collaborate with 3PL vendors and other cross functional teams to ensure business goals are met.
  • Report to upper management on stock levels and possibly inventory issues etc.
  • Ensure inventory is adjusted in SAP.
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy by verifying all inbound and outbound orders.
  • Verify and validate received inventory against PO.
  • All ad hoc inventory management projects.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain or logistics, with at least 1 year in a logistics role and or inventory management.
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP ERP software.

The salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job’s minimum qualifications.
