SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Contract HRIS Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of technical and functional expertise, is detail-oriented, with experience in supporting functional HR teams and COEs,with experience in designing, configuring and implementing HRIS solutions, managing, building and delivering reporting and analytics, while consulting with HR teams on HRIS management, design and processes. Experience in supporting ERP implementations is a plus. The Contract HRIS Analyst will be instrumental in optimizing our HRIS, leveraging Workday, ADP, Jobvite and JIRA, and providing actionable insights through data and systems analysis. Hands-on technical work, including Workday configuration, is a key component of this role. This position reports to the Associate Director, HRIS & Technology, or another management personnel that the CEO of the Company may designate. This position is located in Irvine and working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm local time. This position is expected to travel up to 5% of the time.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
 

HRIS Implementation, Management and Optimization:

  • Support the implementation of HRIS upgrades, configurations and new modules as assigned.
  • Collaborate with the HR and IT teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, define project objectives and scope, and conduct discovery and impact assessments. 
  • Perform audits on system roles and access logs to ensure accuracy and security.
  • Support Workday and ADP Implementations in the following capacity, as needed: facilitate testing, gather and clarify requirements, data validation, project coordination.
  • Assist in the testing of integrations between Workday and other HR/IT systems (e.g., payroll, benefits providers, learning management systems).
  • Collaborate with IT and third-party vendors to manage, implement, test or troubleshoot integrations as needed.
  • Conduct requirements analysis, documenting business needs, assessing impact and translating them into technical specifications.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and discussions with stakeholders to gather requirements and validate solutions.
  • Provide technical training on features and support to HR core users including updating HR user manuals and training materials. 

 

Reporting & Data Management:

  • Develop and deliver HR reports and analytics using Workday, ADP, Jobvite, Excel, and other tools.
  • Maintain and enhance dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and relevance for business decision-making.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all reporting and analytical outputs by configuring and maintaining HRIS fields, objects and structures to meet business needs.
  • Manage data imports and data migration projects, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the system.
  • Proactively audit data for quality, accuracy, timeliness and usability to ensure integrity of core systems, interfaces and reporting.

 

Testing and Validation:

  • Develop and execute test plans for HRIS configurations, including unit testing, regression testing, and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Proactively validate configurations against business requirements, ensuring that they meet the desired outcomes.
  • Document test results, troubleshoot issues, and work with stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Regular attendance, in accordance with company's attendance policy and supervisory assignment, is an essential job duty requirement for this position.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
 

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant HR experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience working in HRIS
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Workday experience, including configuration such as HCM, Compensation, Talent, Performance Management, and creating and managing calculated fields and custom reports.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong understanding of HR, Payroll and IT business processes and interdependencies.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initaitives simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams and build strategic relationships with all levels of the HR and IT organization.
  • Ability to convey information and advice on complex matters to divergent audiences with an adaptable communication style.
  • Analytical mindset, with strong attention to detail and comfort working with complex and/or large datasets.
  • Creative thinking and excellent problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to distill business needs into technical requirements, analyze system capabilities, and develop pragmatic solutions to address business challenges.
  • Knowledge of SQL, data visualization tools, or other programming languages.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and MS Office 365.
  • Experience with JIRA or other ticketing, case management or CRM tools; administrator and configuration experience highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Workday’s security framework, including role-based permissions and data security.
  • Familiarity with Workday EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder) tool.
  • Proficiency in using Workday’s Report Writer.
  • Willingness to take on new task and adjust work priorities to accommodate other urgent needs.
  • Experience in managing and working with confidential information.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated experience with ERP implementations.
  • Familiarity with Agile Methodology and practices and Human-Centered Design principles.
  • ADP experience is highly preferred.
  • Workday HCM certification or other relevant HRIS certifications.
  • Experience in supporting a Shared Services framework.

SALARY RANGE FOR POSITION

The anticipated starting pay range of this position, which is to be located in Irvine, CA is $40 - $50 per hour based on years of experience. Higher salary range as part of overall compensation will be considered for direct solar industry experience.

 

The above salary range is in compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act and may vary for candidates hired in other locations across the nation. The specified salary range applies exclusively to candidates working in Irvine, CA, for the position mentioned. Actual compensation can be influenced by several factors, including but not limited to internal pay equity, the candidate’s skill set, education, any relevant licenses or certifications, geographic location, as well as the specific duties and requirements of the job, and the candidate’s experience in relation to the minimum job qualifications.

In addition to the salary range, candidates may be eligible for a discretionary bonus structure or other incentives as part of the comprehensive compensation package. This package may also include a full range of health benefits, such as medical and dental coverage, which vary depending on the level and nature of the position offered.
