The Manager, Order Management is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end order management process within Axia by Qcells, ensuring seamless coordination across teams and delivering exceptional support to our customers and sales professionals. This position requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in operations and people management, capable of building and scaling solar support in fulfillment operations to match the growth of the business. Major responsibilities of the Order Management team include verification of completed contracts from sales professionals, input and management of required contractual documents into the Operations Lifecycle Platform, compliance with third-party finance company funding requirements, and timely and accurate issuance of payments to third-party fulfillment vendors. This position reports to the Senior Director, Head of Fulfillment Operations, or another member of senior management that the President of the Company may designate. This position will be based out of our Irvine office, with an in-office schedule that is set at the direct manager’s discretion in accordance with company policies and procedures. Remote options could be considered for exceptional cases.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the Order Management team; lead and develop a team by onboarding, training, ongoing support, and performance management.
  • Establish and monitor partner performance metrics, focusing on financier first-time approval rates, and implement closed-loop learning to address common issues.
  • Develop and refine standard operating procedures and streamline processes to speed up the time from document submittal to cash collection.
  • Ensure 100% accuracy and completion of sales contracts before transitioning to operations personnel.
  • Manage resource allocation and workflow within the team to ensure optimal productivity and workload balance; set clear performance goals for the Order Management team, regularly reviewing progress and making necessary adjustments to meet business objectives.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Project Coordination, and Operations teams to improve overall process efficiency and customer satisfaction for Axia by Qcells.
  • Manage and resolve paperwork deficiencies and stipulations with various parties to ensure solar contracts are correctly managed.
  • Interface with lender financing portals to secure contract financing prior to equipment orders.
  • Issue and approve work orders to third-party fulfillment vendors, ensuring prompt and accurate service delivery and payment.
  • Provide feedback to team members on areas of success as well as performance improvement opportunities; analyze and monitor team performance to iteratively improve upon cycle times.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement; review operational procedures and ensure conformance to industry best practices.
  • Conduct interviews and screen candidates for consideration in hiring.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM, fulfillment portal, third-party financier portals, and various other business tools.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
 

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5-8 years of experience in operations management and analytics
  • Strong people management skills with a proven track record in leading and developing teams.
  • Impeccable attention to detail; detailed analytical thinker with the ability to recruit and lead quantitative talent
  • Ability to exercise strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present credit management, vision, and strategy in internal and external forums
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-growth environment
  • Process-driven while finding long-term solutions

The salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job’s minimum qualifications.
